We stand by you

Ways we show up for communities in need.

Every program starts the same way, community dialogues identify needs, then building toward it together.

Our mission

Self-reliant communities.
Shared prosperity.

Since 2009, OfP has grown from a personally funded effort by founder Rotarian M Rabiul Islam into a registered not-for-profit working in rural Bangladesh, guided by a governing body and a circle of local and international advisers.

01

Equal access, shared opportunity

Lasting prosperity comes from making sure opportunity reaches everyone — today and tomorrow.

02

Resilience, community-led

Real change happens when people use their own skills and resources to shape their own solutions.

03

Open about how, and why

Trust is earned. Everything we do is built on being transparent about our work and our impact.

Where we work

Rooted in Jaldhaka, working for the whole region.

Our work is based in Jaldhaka, one of six sub-districts of Nilphamari, in Bangladesh's Rangpur division — an area long affected by seasonal famine known locally as monga. In one survey of 850 families in a single village, 60% were getting by on less than $2.50 a day.
